Outstanding Achievement at the 182nd World Photography Day – Gandaki Province Level Nature Photo Award
On the occasion of the 182nd World Photography Day, the Gandaki Province-level Nature Photography Award 2078 announced its highly anticipated results. The online photography competition, which opened on Bhadra 3, revealed the winners on Bhadra 20, coinciding with the establishment day of the Photographers’ Association Gandaki.
A total of 145 photographs were submitted from across Nepal. The competition featured nature- and environment-themed images captured within the Gandaki Province and shared publicly on the official Facebook page of the Photographers’ Association Gandaki. Among 154 posted entries, the photograph by Srijana Bhurtel (Siru) from Pokhara secured the top position.
Among the Top 10 finalists were several talented photographers, including Bikram Neupane from Kathmandu, Jeevan Dhungana (Kaski), Bishnuhari Adhikari (Kaski), Bilak Subedi (Kaski), Diwas Baral (Kaski), Arjun Kunwar (Kaski), Anup Gurung (Kaski), Rahul Subedi (Kaski), Suresh Regmi (Parbat), and Yamu Kumal (Nawalpur).
The judging panel, comprising senior photojournalists Krishnamani Baral and Ghanshyam Paudel, shortlisted 11 outstanding photographs, which were formally announced during the ceremony.

Among the distinguished Top 10 photographers, Bikram Nyaupane, a renowned photographer from Kathmandu and the founder of Wedding Kathmandu and Photo Pasal Pvt. Ltd., was honored for his exceptional nature photograph representing the environmental beauty of the Gandaki Province.

His continued participation and recognition in provincial and national-level contests reflect his dedication and passion for uplifting Nepali photography standards. His achievement at the Gandaki Province Nature Photo Award once again highlights his artistic vision and contribution to Nepal’s photographic community.
President of the Association, Durga Prasad Paudel, warmly addressed the audience and shared the competition’s importance. He announced that:

✅ The Top 10 photographers would each receive a Certificate, with formal recognition at the Association’s General Assembly
