Photographer Bikram Neupane Selected as the Official Photographer for IME Dancing With the Stars Nepal (Season 1)
Based on the globally acclaimed BBC Studio format, the Nepali adaptation of the world-famous dance reality show "Dancing With the Stars"—titled “Dancing With the Stars Nepal”—was set to premiere in the first week of Baisakh 2077. Despite delays caused by COVID-19, Himalaya Television had already acquired the official franchise rights and completed production planning for Nepal’s first-ever edition of this international hit show.
The show, directed by Laxman Paudel, follows the same global structure seen in more than 60 countries, including the UK, USA, Australia, and India. During pre-production, Director Paudel reviewed details about our company from online sources and invited us for a test photography session for the show.
Recognizing his long experience and distinguished reputation in Nepal’s photography industry, Photographer Bikram Neupane—founder of Photo Pasal, pioneer of Nepal’s digital photo business, and Chairman of WeddingKathmandu.com—was selected as the Official Photographer for the program.
The first season consisted of 26 episodes, broadcast every Friday and Saturday at 8 PM (Super Prime Time) on Himalaya Television. The show featured 12 celebrity contestants from different fields, each paired with 12 professional choreographers, delivering high-level dance performances inspired by the international DWTS format.
During the show’s production, Mr. Neupane’s professionalism, creative output, and technical excellence were highly appreciated. In recognition of his outstanding contribution, Director Laxman Paudel formally honored him with an Official Photographer Certificate, acknowledging his role in one of Nepal’s finest reality television productions.
